Hot Stone Massage

The Hot Stone Massage is a particular type of massage performed using hot stones that are placed on the body to treat various symptoms and disorders, relieve muscle tension, and alleviate muscle stiffness by harnessing the power of heat.

A smooth basalt stone is used, a volcanic stone that has the characteristic of being able to retain heat within it for a relatively long period and gradually release it when in contact with the skin.

These stones are heated in a special heater or in a bain-marie until they reach a temperature of about 60°-70°C.

They are then dried and placed on the body, particularly along the spine, on the chakras, or on specific painful areas to be treated. The stones are then slid over the skin using vegetable oils combined with essential oils
